Editor’s Desk

Dear All,

Welcome to another edition of aNUkriti, the NU Newsletter in its online avatar. We present here combined edition of October, November and December Newsletters. September and October months were busy with activities, as we had many eminent speakers who addressed the students and instilled some new ideas and learnings in their minds.NUtons took the Anti-Litter campaign outside to the Neemrana village and cleaned various parts of the village. This drive was also requested by the Village head and our NUtons complied happily spreading smiles everywhere.

NU witnessed the VIII Convocation ceremony where 479 students graduated from NU in various courses. Former President of ISRO, Dr.K Kasturirangan, was the chief guest at the event. Department of Computer Science Engineering organised the annual Tech Fest, SiNUsoid V 2.0 and it was a grand success with participation from many institutes in both technical and cultural events.NU Music Club rocked at Oasis, cultural fest of BITS Pilani, where NUtons bagged prizes in Easterna nd Western singing and our Bands were in the finalists. Its good to have left an imprint on the soil of BITS Pilani.A new series of episodes has been launched by TALF called Decoding the Indian Classicals. The first episode was dedicated to Bharatnatyam and was conducted by I-MBA first year student, Aishi Bhatacharya. Other classical dances and arts are also in the offing in the coming year. Many workshops and webinars were conducted. You will get a detailed report on all of those in the Campus news.

17th October was a historical Day in NU when for the first time, in all these years, a decision was taken to ensure equality, as it is talked about in campus, between boys and girls. To begin with, it was decided that every Wednesday,17th October onwards, boys will be locked up in their respective hostels after 11pm, and that day girls will be free to roam around. The decision was welcomed by all students and the boys merrily complied with the wishes of the authorities.
All days are not the same, and all changes are not bad!

With this, I take your leave. I and my team hopes that you will like the contents. We wish you a very Happy Reading experience.

Happy Reading

Warm regards,
