The Nanhi Chhaan Programme was conducted from January 19 \u2013 22, 2026, at NIIT University and invited thirteen National Essay Competition laureates to attend a four-day residential programme under the supervision of the Nanhi Chhaan Foundation, which aims to instill qualities of leadership, sustainability, and social responsibility. The programme involved orientation, a meeting with the University President Prof Prakash Gopalan, and a discussion on leadership with NIIT University Founder, Mr. Rajendra Pawar and guest speaker, Mr. Harpal Singh, where the issues of climate change, good use of social media, governance, and youth engagement in nation-building were discussed. The participants explored the sustainability efforts of the university through an ecological tour and a tree-plantation process, scholarly environmental law and social justice discussions, and group projects related to new topics such as ethical artificial intelligence and digital innovation. The programme ended with the presentation of talents and presentation of certificates, thus reinstating the university values in nurturing the future-ready, socially oriented leaders.<\/p>\n
