An emergency response drill was conducted at NIIT University on 13 April 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM as part of its biannual safety initiative. The drill commenced at 10:45 AM with the sounding of a siren, accompanied by whistles from security personnel and activation of fire alarms across campus.<\/p>\n

All students, faculty, and staff promptly evacuated their respective buildings, following the prescribed protocols. Hostel wardens, security teams, Student Resident Associates, and NSS members ensured that the evacuation was carried out efficiently. All rooms, offices, and buildings were vacated, except for the mess kitchen.<\/p>\n

Participants assembled at the designated Emergency Assembly Point on the Bowl Lawn, where a headcount was conducted batch-wise and area-wise to ensure complete evacuation.<\/p>\n

The COO and Dean of Student Affairs, Maj Gen A. K. Singh (Retd), addressed the gathering and briefed participants on appropriate actions during emergencies. This was followed by demonstrations on the use of firefighting equipment by Team GDX Securities, the deployment of a fire tender by the Neemrana Fire Station team, and casualty handling and rescue procedures by a special training team.<\/p>\n

The drill was conducted smoothly and effectively, reinforcing awareness and preparedness among the university community.<\/p>\n
