Kavishaala, the poetic society of NIIT University, organised a literary event, \u201cSafar-e-Sukhan\u201d, on May 8, 2026, in the Auditorium. Students performed as storytellers, narrating the lives of their chosen poets through verse. The event aimed to introduce poetry enthusiasts to the lives and legacies of celebrated poets, highlighting how personal experiences, love, loss, and social upheavals shaped their writing.<\/p>\n

The event spotlighted stories about Sarojini Naidu, Amrita Pritam-Sahir Ludhianvi-Inderjit Imroz, Sadat Hasan Manto, \u00a0among other renowned literary figures whose works spanned Urdu, Punjabi, and English literature across generations. Each performer conducted extensive research on their chosen poet and presented original poetry woven into a biographical narrative, alongside recitations of some of the poet\u2019s most celebrated works.<\/p>\n

Student members Barsha, Manan, Krishna, Aythijha, Dushyant, Suraj and Kritik were among the performers who helped the audience discover the human stories behind some of the most enduring literary works. When stories ended, the event was opened to anyone from the audience who wanted to present their writings to audience. Banking students enthusiastically participated and mesmerized the audience with their emotional depth.<\/p>\n
