Republic Day

As the sun rises on January 26, 2023, a wave of patriotism swept through the air, as people all across NIIT gear up to celebrate one of the country’s most significant national events – Republic Day. It was a day of immense pride, as NIIT, commemorates the historic moment when the Constitution of India came into effect, marking the transition of the country into a fully-fledged Republic.

The day began with the unfurling of the national flag by the president, Prof.Rajesh Khanna, followed by the national anthem.

A cultural program was held at 9:00 P.M. after and it showcased the rich cultural diversity of our country through various performances such as patriotic songs, dances, and a musical dance demonstration by our dramatic society,’ Rangmanch NU’.Moreover, the event timeline also included the prize distribution for the workers and helping staff signifying how the management is an integral part of the university’s functioning, Furthermore, the speech by the university captain, Abhijeet Singh, iMBA Batch 2020-24 set the spirit of pride among each one present. The crowd was then introduced to the campaign,‘viNUmr’, by Retd. Air Commodore Kamal Singh(AVSM), marking the kick-start of the no abuse campaign by the university. It has the foundation of the ideology that the filtration of abusive words has a significant impact on the personality at a young age and therefore every student pledged to follow it.

The Republic Day celebration at NIIT University was a resounding success and showcased the students’ pride in their country. It was a day filled with patriotism and a reminder of the values that make India great. The students left the event with a renewed commitment to serve their country and work towards a better future for all. In conclusion, it was indeed a celebration of the values of democracy and secularism that form the cornerstone of our nation.

Time is magic. It makes us more and more sensitive to all that comes into our lives especially when it is related to nature and plants, crops, farming, etc. There used to be a time when farming was the major occupation of society. But now planting a tree has also become a mere factor to see. In such a society it was really a great opportunity for all the NUtons including friends, professors, and all those who supported us in this vision of ours to grow healthy and provide healthy food. A special kind of immense pleasure that students could experience on this Republic Day when we could tell that we are the future of the Nation. Our first investment in this “Organic Farming” was to plant the fruit plants Guava and Pomegranate. It was 10.30 in the morning of January 26, 2023, when we planted the fruit plants. We had the greatest excitement for this project from the previous semester itself and are extremely happy to be able to implement it successfully.  With the seniors, batch mates, and professors who accompanied us to this plantation drive our mission was initiated with its fullest essence. As someone said “To plant trees is to give body and life to one’s dream of a better world” we have also accomplished the dream of a healthy and organic world.

The celebrations continued throughout the day, with people from all walks of life coming together to celebrate this momentous occasion with the university. It was a day to reflect on the progress that India has made over the years and the challenges that lie ahead. As the day draws to a close, the sense of patriotism lingers on, as people look forward to a brighter, more prosperous future for India and how NIIT contributed to it in the right manner.
