POSH Awareness Session

A POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Awareness Session on February 17, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the auditorium. The session aimed to educate students on workplace harassment laws and preventive measures. Prof. (Dr.) Vijaylaxmi Sharma from the Department of Law, Manipal University, was the invited speaker. She discussed the legal framework of the POSH Act, workplace policies, and strategies to prevent harassment. Case studies and real-life examples were shared to enhance understanding. Students actively participated in the discussion, gaining valuable insights into their rights and responsibilities. The session concluded with a vote of thanks, reinforcing NIIT University’s commitment to fostering a safe and respectful environment.
