Poem on IWD- By Prof. Eshwaran Narasimhan
Tomes have been attempted
The feminine gender
The male mind has often been tempted
On this exclusive mind bender
If dominance is important and key
There are many to emulate
Look around and see
I will let my throat ululate
The matrilineal pachyderm
Or the socially clear hyena with a cackle
Or orcas, some call them blubberderm
Maybe bonobos, you want to tackle
All dominant in their own way
The feminine gender hold sway
They hear no Nay
At the end of the day
However if empathy is the need
Or being looked after
Either to feed
In sorrow or in laughter
Follow the hornbill
Safe and sound
To the brim is the food till
Within the tree she is bound
Oh and the hippocampus non universal
Not in the brain but marine
The reproductive role reversal
For the confused, it is seahorse I define
But the deep sea angler takes the cake
60 times smaller and many times lighter
The male fuses with her in the wake
She is the hunter and a fighter
The homo sapiens can reason
Things change all the time
Recognize the importance in all season
Behave well in action and mime
