Invited Talk: “How to Discover the Rogers-Ramanujan Identities”

On April 23, 2025, NIIT University hosted an invited talk by Prof. Gaurav Bhatnagar, held from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM in the university auditorium. The session, titled “How to Discover the Rogers-Ramanujan Identities,” provided insights into Ramanujan’s mathematical legacy with a focus on combinatorics, special functions, and number theory. Prof. Bhatnagar, who holds a PhD from The Ohio State University, shared his structured approach to deriving these classical identities. Drawing from his academic experience at institutions like Ohio State, Delhi University, and Ashoka University, he presented the material from a discovery-oriented perspective. The session was academically focused and contributed to enhancing mathematical awareness among attendees.
