Student Research Paper Selections and Presentations at International Conferences

In a significant academic milestone, ten R&D project teams mentored by Mr. Vikas Upadhyay at NIIT University achieved multiple selections in prestigious international conferences. Of these, eight research papers were accepted for presentation at conferences indexed in Scopus, including the International Conference on Engineering Trends in Education Systems & Sustainability and the International Conference on Networked Computing and Data Analytics (ICNCDA-2025).

On May 23, 2025, student Aastha Kumar presented the paper “The Psychology of Fonts: How Typeface Influences Perception and Cognition” at ICNCDA-2025. Other notable papers included “Multi-Agent Traffic Management System for Smart Cities”, “TinyML on Microcontrollers”, “Advancements in Crop Disease Detection”, and “Presentation Attack Detection in Facial Recognition”. These were authored by undergraduate teams and co-authored by Mr. Upadhyay, with one also co-authored by Dr. Neha Tiwari.

This achievement highlights the success of a revised R&D mentorship approach, emphasizing early initiation of research in the prior semester. The strategy led to high-quality research outputs suitable for global academic forums. Plans are underway to transition some of this work toward journal publication, further strengthening the research culture at NIIT University.
