NIIT University Recognized as Host Institute under MSME Innovative Scheme

NIIT University has been formally recognized as a Host Institute (HI) under the MSME Innovative Scheme (Incubation), an initiative of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.

Following this initiative, the Centre for Innovation Incubation & Entrepreneurship (CIIE) and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at NU organized the MSME Idea Hackathon 5.0 on 12th August 2025 where, a total of 38 teams gathered to present their ideas before a panel of industry leaders, entrepreneurs, finance professionals, and subject experts.

The hackathon was structured around five themes: low-carbon footprint solutions, stealth and cyber defense technologies, Industry 4.0 & 5.0 adoption in MSMEs, business sustainability in coastal and hilly areas, and smart resilient supply chains.

This recognition and the successful organization of the hackathon showcased NU’s growing role in supporting innovative startups and entrepreneurial ventures in line with national priorities.
