Session on Domestic Violence by Prof (Dr.) Vijay Laxmi

An informative session on Domestic Violence was held on January 21, 2026, in the University Auditorium by Professor (Dr.) Vijay Laxmi, lecturer in Law and Director of Teacher Empowerment Centre of Manipal University, Jaipur. The session was aimed at raising awareness of domestic violence, legal rights and procedural resources. Based on the years of professional experience and strategic qualification in the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) grid, Prof (Dr.) Vijay Laxmi elaborated on women empowerment, child welfare and statutory protection in Indian laws, emphasizing vigilance, preventive programs and institutional responsibility. The program encouraged students to understand systems of law and speak against injustice and, therefore, reflected the commitment of the university to social consciousness and gender sensitivity.
