Team Advances to Phase 2 of Hackathon

A hackathon was organised by MIT Vishwapragya University, Solapur, in collaboration with the Solapur Municipal Corporation, bringing together student teams to address real-world urban challenges. The competition witnessed participation from over 500 teams in Phase 1, competing across five problem statements on February 20th, 2026.

Following the initial round, one team successfully advanced to Phase 2(top 15 teams) based on their project proposal. The team comprised Lakshmi Khetawat (Team Leader), Ishika Singh, Utkarsh Prajapati, Utsav Singh (B.Tech 2024-28 Batch), and Manan Agarwal (2025-29 Batch).

The team developed a project ideation focused on a water pressure management and monitoring system for Solapur city. The proposed solution aimed to address issues related to water distribution efficiency and monitoring within the urban infrastructure.

The selection of the team for Phase 2 reflects their ability to propose a practical and relevant solution, highlighting innovation and problem-solving skills in addressing civic challenges.
