Third Doctoral Symposium 2026

The Third Doctoral Symposium 2026, organised by NIIT University, Neemrana, on April 17 and 18 2026, brought together researchers, faculty, and industry experts to facilitate academic exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The symposium featured keynote talks by eminent academicians, including Prof. Deepak B. Phatak (Professor Emeritus, IIT Bombay) and Prof. Rajeev Shorey (Director, IIIT Surat), who delivered sessions on emerging research directions. Prof. Santanu Chaudhury (Dean, Ashoka University) delivered a keynote titled Physical AI: Opportunities & Challenges, while Prof. Supratim Biswas (IIT Bombay) presented How to Speed Up My Program? Prof. Rajeev Shorey also delivered a session on Recent Investigations in the Intersection of Machine Learning and Edge Computing.

Additional expert sessions included Prof. Sohum Sohoni (Director, HITAM) speaking on Some Simple Truths about Research, Prof. Kumkum Garg presenting Five Decades of Research: My Experiences as Scholar and Guide, and Prof. Sheetal Sohoni leading a parallel session on Ethics in Design and Engineering.

The symposium was supported by an advisory committee comprising Prof. Prakash Gopalan, President, NIIT University; Prof. Parimal Mandke, Vice-President, NIIT University; Prof. Vandana Suhag; Maj. Gen. A. K. Singh; Prof. Vijay Mandke; Prof. Debashis Sengupta; and Prof. Shakti Kundu. The event was coordinated by Dr. Anand Kumar Mishra, who served as the Organising Secretary.

The event included keynote sessions, technical presentations, poster sessions, open discussions, and a cultural programme coordinated by Dr. Anshima Srivastava. It provided a structured platform for research dissemination, interaction, and collaboration.
