Independence Day Celebration at NIIT University

NIIT University celebrated Independence Day on August 15, 2026, with a programme featuring the participation of various university clubs and members of the university community. The programme commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by a series of cultural performances.

The programme featured poetry recitations, elocution, and other performances by different university clubs, including a dance performance by Impetus and a Nukkad Natak by Rangmanch NU. The event also witnessed speeches by University Captain, Vasvi Nehra and University Vice Captain, Manjeet Purohit.

As part of the closing segment, select members of the security team and university staff were rewarded in acknowledgment of their services to the university. The programme concluded with a soulful rendition by members of Verismo club of Bankim Chandra Cattopadhyay ji’s  “Vande Mataram.” And Mahboob and A. R Rahman’s “Maa Tujhe Salaam”.
