TEDxNIIT University Adventure Day (Nazariya)

TEDx University partnered up with Nazariya, an LGBTQ+ organization. Nazariya, a queer youth alliance and a social justice advocacy group based in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Aizawl. They hold a safe space for the intersectional communities of the society and a platform for their voice. The name reflects the group’s mission to make marginalized perspectives heard.

They visited NU campus on 5th February, 2020. This eventful day was filled with invigorating activities including a movie on the LGBTQ+ community. Students also got to involve themselves in fun games and team-building exercises. This workshop not only helped in sensitizing the students about what LGBTQ+ represents but also encouraged them to accept themselves and others’ identity and beliefs.
