NU CINÉSTA Film-making Workshop

From November 16 to 18  2024, NU Cinésta, the movie club, hosted a three-day film-making workshop. The sessions were led by alumnus Rahul Ranjan, now a filmmaker, along with his talented team members, Pranjal Sahu and Harsh Gupta. The workshop began with an engaging session on the history of cinema, laying the foundation for understanding the evolution of filmmaking. Over the next two days, participants delved into the basics of writing, production, and post-production, gaining practical insights into the creative and technical aspects of filmmaking. The workshop concluded with students forming groups to apply their learnings by creating their own short films, showcasing their creativity and teamwork. This hands-on experience not only inspired budding filmmakers but also strengthened the university’s filmmaking community.
