Theatre Workshop

In a captivating two-day event, NIIT University played host to a remarkable Theatre Workshop on January 31 and February 1, 2025. Led by renowned theatre artist Shilpi Marwah from Sukhmanch Theatre and her colleague Divyu Verma, the workshop offered students an immersive dive into the world of performance, storytelling, and stage presence.

The workshop, organized by Rangmanch NU under the Artist in Residence program, was designed to equip participants with essential theatrical techniques such as voice modulation, character development, and improvisation. Through a series of interactive sessions and practical exercises, students were encouraged to step into the spotlight, embrace their creativity, and refine their craft. The emphasis on teamwork and confidence-building ensured that even those new to the stage found their voice.

The participants were divided in two groups and both the groups presented two plays at the culmination of the workshop. The performances left a lasting impression, with students delivering powerful enactments that resonated with the audience. The workshop was not just an exercise in acting but a testament to the transformative nature of theatre in fostering self-expression, collaboration, and confidence.
