TEDxNIITUniversity 2025 Main Day

The 8th edition of TEDxNIITUniversity was successfully conducted on March 9, 2025, under the global TEDx license. The theme for this year, “Inverso Clessidra – As Time Folds, Perspectives Unfold”, explored how the passage of time reshapes understanding and encourages the evolution of thought. The event brought together a wide range of speakers from fields such as healthcare, education, technology, art, and spirituality, offering the audience a diverse and thought-provoking experience. The event witnessed participation from students, faculty members, professionals, and external attendees, fostering an environment of intellectual exchange and inspiration.

Speakers and Sessions

Dr. Mitali Rathod, popularly known as Dr. Uterus, opened important conversations around topics often considered taboo in society, such as menstruation, sexuality, and self-intimacy. Her talk emphasized the need for open dialogue and education to combat longstanding social stigmas. Dr. Gajendra Purohit, an acclaimed educational content creator, shared insights on the importance of keeping educational content relevant, engaging, and accessible in today’s fast-paced digital environment. Dr. L. Venkata Subramanium spoke on the importance of understanding India’s historical roots to navigate its future, offering a comprehensive view of the country’s developmental potential in a global context.

Humaira Mushtaq shared her personal journey of overcoming gender norms and societal expectations to pursue a career as a female racer. Her experiences highlighted the importance of resilience and representation in male-dominated fields. Sneha Chakrabortory offered a deep dive into the evolving world of digital art, discussing her career in NFT art and the creative and economic opportunities within the Web3 ecosystem. Manas Chopra presented practical perspectives on Artificial Intelligence, focusing on its growing implementation across industries and its role in enhancing, rather than replacing, human capabilities.

The event also featured a Kathak dance performance by Nainika Mukherjee, who captivated the audience with her expressive movements and intricate rhythm, bringing classical Indian culture to life on stage. Tirth Parasana provided an introspective look into the spiritual realm, encouraging open-minded exploration of various religious philosophies and the common values that connect them. Aiman Khan delivered a talk on the significance of vulnerability in digital content creation, stressing the importance of authenticity and emotional honesty in building meaningful connections with audiences.

Amit Dubey addressed growing concerns around data privacy, explaining how individuals can better understand where their data is being stored, shared, and potentially exploited in the digital age. Palakh Khanna reflected on the process of learning and unlearning, encouraging attendees to adapt their thinking to stay relevant and grounded in a constantly evolving world. Sagar Srivastava concluded the speaker sessions with a talk on modern education and teaching, focusing on learner-centered methods and the need to reform traditional pedagogical models to suit current needs.

Additional Highlights

In addition to the speaker sessions, the campus was decorated with art displays curated by the university’s creative team. The display included several notable pieces, including a 3D painting integrated with a functioning clock that symbolized the central theme of time and shifting perspectives. Multiple food stalls were set up to provide refreshments, fostering informal interactions among attendees and contributing to the vibrant atmosphere. All registered participants received specially curated goodie bags containing merchandise such as mugs, pins, and keepsakes, adding a personalized touch to the experience.

 

Audience shared that TEDxNIITUniversity 2025 successfully upheld the TEDx mission of spreading ideas worth sharing. The carefully curated speaker lineup, well-executed logistics, and integration of creative and cultural elements resulted in an engaging and impactful event. By encouraging dialogue around contemporary issues and timeless themes alike, the 8th edition marked another step forward in NIIT University’s commitment to fostering thought leadership, creativity, and community engagement.
