Open House Session to Explore the Impact of Social Media on Young Minds

On May 1st, 2025, NIIT University hosted a special Open House session for first-year iMBA and B.Tech students at LT 102, focused on the theme:
“The Power and Pitfalls of Social Media on Young Minds.”

The session featured a fireside chat with esteemed speakers:

• Mr. Rajendra S Pawar, Founder of NIIT University
• Mr. Arun Kapur, Director, Royal Academy, Bhutan

They were joined by senior members of the NU leadership team for an insightful discussion exploring the influence of social media on student life, identity, and mental well-being.

The conversation addressed both the opportunities and challenges presented by the digital landscape. Students gained perspectives on how to engage more mindfully with social media platforms, while also considering its broader implications on learning, attention, and communication.
