Sports Day

NIIT University observed National Sports Day 2025 with inter-house competitions in basketball, football, and cricket. Participants were divided in houses based on important figures in Sports. The overall points resulted in a tie between Sachin Tendulkar House and Vishwanathan Anand House, leading to a tie-breaker tug-of-war on September 1, 2025. Vishwanathan Anand House won the match 2-1 and was awarded the Major Dhyan Chand Trophy. A separate Pithu game was also conducted as part of the schedule. The event followed the planned timetable and concluded with the announcement of the final results
