Student Startup De-Fake Secures Copyright Recognition

In a proud achievement for NIIT University’s Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE), student founders Rakshit Sawarn and Amruta Saharkar, students from the BTech Batch of 2022, have secured a copyright from the Copyright Office, Government of India, for their developed work under their startup, DE-FAKE, now incorporated as Definiti Softwares Private Limited.

This milestone marks an important step in their entrepreneurial journey, as it formally protects their intellectual property and strengthens the foundation of their innovation-driven venture.

Mentored by Dr Vikas Upadhyay, Rakshit and Amruta have demonstrated strong commitment and vision in building their startup.
