Rural Developement through 3Cs
In India, majority of the rural development schemes, policies, and activities are planned and executed through the federal system of government including the ever-tedious bureaucracy. From planning to execution, various gaps take place. This proposed plan aims to fill those gaps for the effective use of financial and other resources.
- Community: Refers to government schools, farmers, MSMEs, other households, and home-based small business enterprises.
- Campus: Refers to residential higher education campus,
- Company: Refers to a sizeable company which has sufficient CSR funds to invest.
This project aims to create employability amongst school students, Furthermore, the establishment of skill centers in a village will help the employability of remaining villagers, or will help them in establishing their own businesses. Whilst working on the project, the students and faculty of NIIT University will get exposure on the rural life, and students of urban centres will be further sensitized about the difficulties faced by rural population.
The following projects are currently running at the Bichpuri Senior Secondary Government School through the Skill Development Centre sponsored by Wipe Hot Wire Private Limited, Neemrana.
- Candle Making
- LED and circuit-based projects
- Stitching training on electronic sewing machine
On July 26, 2024 the Skilled Development Centre has been inaugurated by Mr. L. N. Mathur, Managing Director, The Wipe Hotwire Private Limited.
On August 3, 2024, with the help of PrabhuG Mission Foundation, the Sewing Machine sponsored by Wipe Hot Wire has been installed.
The Team Unnat Bharat Abhiyan NIIT University, Neemrana has been working since last year has been engaging with the students of the Government Senior Secondary School, Bichpuri in developing their skills, and creating employability.
Now, in academic year 2024-25, the primary target of this project is to train 3 batches of 10 students each year. The team is planning to connect these trained students with nearby MSMEs to provide jobs to the trained students.
Students of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan of NIIT University, Neemrana will :
- Identify the potential students for training
- Develop the registration form for trainees
- Develop training material, guidelines, timetable and schedule for the semester.
- Create awareness among school students, and other villages about hygiene, various government schemes, digital and financial literacy etc.
