OPEN HOUSE SESSION WITH LEADERSHIP

An Open House session with NU Leadership was held on February 28, 2025 at 6:00 PM in the Auditorium, allowing students to voice concerns and receive updates on campus policies.

Issues discussed included security searches at the front gate, where students had asked for frisking to be done within the booth to avoid privacy issues. The administration assured that the new security staff would be tasked accordingly. Concerns about restrictions at the Listening Tree were clarified, confirming that students may use the space from dawn to dusk. The withdrawal of microwaves from UG-2 was addressed, with the administration reiterating that services are temporarily suspended for seven days in case of negligence. Campus exit delays owing to manual entry processes were also raised, and officials revealed that a Gate Pass Mobile App is under development to make it easier.

The meeting was an effective forum for discussion, reiterating the administration’s resolve towards students’ welfare and the improvement of the campus.
