Teachers Learning Symposium 2026 conducted at NIIT University

The Teachers Learning Symposium (TLS–2026) was organized at NIIT University from Jan 10, 2026 to Jan 11, 2026 as a formal academic event, with participation from 30 school teachers. The symposium aimed to strengthen academic interaction and promote awareness of contemporary teaching practices. The program featured experience-sharing sessions, presentations by school teachers, and expert-led workshops in education. Emphasising the evolving role of teachers in guiding critical thinking and creativity in AI-supported classrooms. Day 1 included a welcome address by Prof. Prakash Gopalan, followed by a hands-on workshop titled “Gen AI and Agentic AI – Leveraging for Education” by Prof. Debashis Sengupta, Dean Technology Initiatives & Area Director, Computer Science & Engineering. An insightful workshop titled “Design, Teach, Reimagine using GenAI to Create Meaningful Learning Experiences” was conducted by Ms Susmita Pruthi, Learning Consultant, NIIT Ltd. Other key sessions included “NU’s VNEIM Model – How Schools Can Participate” by Prof. Vijay Mandke and the closing session titled “The NU Way, TLS 2027, NU Innovators Challenge 2026” by Prof. Parimal Mandke. The event also included a tree plantation drive led by Maj Gen. A K Singh, Dean Student Affairs & Chief Operations Officer, a short trek to the Aravalli Ranges facilitated by the Adventure Club NU-SAAHAS, and a prize distribution ceremony, ensuring a balanced blend of academic enrichment, collaboration, and social responsibility.
