Kailash Sathyarti Children’s Foundation – Girls’ March to School

Compulsory education for girl child till 18 years of age

11th October is celebrated as the International Day of the Girl Child. On this occasion, NIIT University partnered up with Kailash Sathyarthi Children’s Foundation to join the 100 Million campaign and organized parades outside five schools in and around Neemrana. These parades were followed by interactive sessions in the schools where NUtons discussed the importance of education. This interactive session was specifically aimed at promoting the goal of compulsory education for girls till the age of 18 on which Kailash Sathyarthi Children’s Foundation is doing extensive work.

 

Team siNUsoid planned out this event under the guidance of Maj. Gen. A.K. Singh with extensive help from faculty coordinators and the Admin team. 102 NUtons participated in this event and shared the importance of this cause with around 430 students from the schools listed below.

  2. Govt. School, Janaksinghpura
  3. Govt. School, Mohladia
  4. Govt. School, Kali Pahadi
  5. Mohal Lal Dayal Vinay Mandir(MDVM) Parle School, Neemrana

 

Three buses were arranged for the transportation of volunteers These buses left the volunteers 1KM away from the destination from where the volunteers marched towards the school while chanting slogans. These volunteers also carried hand-painted posters to catch the attention of people walking nearby. All the posters were put up inside the school once the interactive sessions ended.
