Convocation 2021

On October 9, 2021, the 11th Convocation Ceremony of NIIT University took place. The convocation ceremony took place in the campus auditorium adhering to all covid guidelines. Starting on a nostalgic note, the convocation ceremony began with a trip down memory lane by reflecting on previous convocation ceremonies of the years. A small tribute was paid to Goddess Saraswati by lighting lamps, followed by a music performance. Subsequently, we had Shri Rajendra S Pawar, Chairman and Founder of NIIT University, share a few words of wisdom and relay his hearty congratulations to the graduates. This was followed by a trip down the memory lane for the students of Batch 2017, a small remembrance for the students leaving the university. Students of various disciplines were then felicitated with their degrees. Unfortunately due to the threats of the pandemic, they could not collect their degrees in person.

Following the felicitations, Mr Vijay Kumar Thadani, Managing Director and Co-founder of NIIT University extended his wishes to the graduating students and welcomed the chief guest of the event, Dr. Arunabha Ghosh,  CEO of the Council of Energy, Environment, and Water (CEEW), one of Asia’s leading policy research institutions, and one of the world’s best climate think tanks. He has previously worked in Princeton, Oxford, UNDP (New York), and WTO (Geneva) and is also a co-author/editor of four books and many other research papers and journals. Dr. Arunabha Ghosh delivered the annual convocation address in a significant and profound manner, Initially, He talked about: the various hurdles coming ahead, the expectations from the youth, the climate situation of the current world, and the actions one can take to help make the world a better place, Through his culminated experience. He provided a scintillating speech to evoke passion, and motivation in the happy graduates.

Following the convocation address, a small video compilation of various students portraying their emotions and experiences throughout their journey as a student at NIIT University. The video captures students talking about their cherished memories and the learning experience at NIIT University was displayed. Finally, the ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Rajesh Khanna, President of NIIT University thanking  Dr. Arunabha Ghosh, the chief guest, Rajendra S Pawar, the founder of NIIT University, Vijay K Thadani, the co-founder of NIIT University, and the faculty of NU. He also wished all the graduating students success in their future endeavors and extended his congratulations once more.
