Kavishala Open mic 5.0

“All bad poetry springs from genuine feeling”. This quote perfectly describes the feeling that was prevalent during the ‘Kavishala Open mic 5.0’ held on March 28, 2022, from 6 P.M,  where our local writers showcased their back page storylines through in-depth words.

The event started with Armaan Taneja, iMBA Batch 2021-2025, highlighting the importance of ‘Waqt’ through his own personal experiences. This was followed by Chesta Bharadwaj, B. Tech Batch 2021-2025, and Shreya Shrivastava, B. Tech Batch 2021-2025 with their take on ‘War’, touching down on the emotions of a soldier and the perspective of the normal crowd. Later, Megha Singh, B. Tech Batch 2021-2025 came up with ‘Stalking’ as her theme for the performance. ‘Realities’, ‘Himmat’, ‘Swabhiman’, and ‘Changes’ were some of the beautiful topics that were picked by the participants, touching souls all around with their awe-inspiring words.

The peace that poetry can bring also highlights the fire it can build over the period of time and experiences of a person. NIIT hopes to keep hunting for relatable content that grows beyond exclusivity but at the same time, connects everyone together.
