Instils Workshop

A photography workshop was conducted by Instils on April 5, 2026. It aimed to provide students with practical experience in photography, particularly in low-light and creative techniques like light painting, to help participants understand how to translate conceptual ideas into visually compelling images, use different tools and camera settings effectively, and gain confidence in executing creative shoots.
The event was led by a professional photographer, Mr Virendra Adhikari, a specialist in Light Painting, Low Light Photography, Event Photography and Product Photography. He was assisted by Mr Pankaj Jain, who is a travel photographer and an experienced photography professional in various sub-domains.
The session began with a classroom discussion covering fundamentals such as composition, lighting, and camera handling, followed by an interactive practical session. Students were introduced to various creative techniques, including light painting using controlled lighting setups and steel wool effects, along with guidance on equipment handling and execution of ideas.
The workshop was conducted in two sessions, one between 2:30 and 5:30 PM, followed by a practical light painting session from 9 to 11 PM.
