TALF Event: Talk on Ancient Educational Heritage of India-II by Ms. Sahana Singh
On 4th December 2020, TALF conducted a webinar titled “Ancient Educational Heritage of Indian- Part II”, and the invited speaker was Mrs. Sahana Singh. Part I of this webinar was held on 31st October 2020. Mrs. Sahana Singh is an engineer-turned writer/editor who is known for her works on issues related to the environment, water management, and Indian history.
Eminent personalities, Mr. Rajendra Pawar, Mr. Vijay Thadani, Mr. Harpal Singh, Air Commodore Kamal Singh (Retd), and Mrs. Syeda Imam graced the session. Talfers and many other students along with their family members attended the session and showed great curiosity on the subject. Mrs. Singh began the session by giving a short recap of the last talk. She then discussed the cause behind the destruction of Indian universities and their consequences. She also talked about the pre-colonialism and post-colonialism education system and policies. The talk was followed by an interesting discussion where the students’ questions and queries were addressed. Mr. Rajendra Pawar, Mrs. Syeda Imam, and Mr. Harpal Singh actively participated in the discussion and fascinated the audience with their views and beliefs.
