Resonance-2023

On July 14, 2023, NIIT’s “Resonance” welcomed the new class of incoming students with an exciting and varied array of events designed to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment while acquainting them with the academic and co-curricular programs offered by the university through August 31, 2023. The 15-day induction week included academic lectures, talent shows, and daring outdoor adventures that combined learning, friendship, and personal development.

A tree-planting ceremony marked the start of the eco-aware induction week for new students. This act of symbolism highlighted the significance of community involvement and environmental responsibility. Further embracing adventure, students embarked on activities like the trek to ‘SCAR’ and ‘Suryodhaysthal’ that made them experience and witness breathtaking sunrises while fostering a sense of mindfulness. Throughout the week, students embraced their adventurous spirit with activities such as valley crossing, encouraging teamwork, trust-building, and overcoming personal challenges. These experiences not only helped the participants make new friends but also boosted their confidence and enhanced their leadership skills.

There were lots of chances to get active during the resonance week, including basketball, football, cricket, volleyball, pool, table tennis, and badminton. Playing these sports helped students connect over common interests and promoted healthy competition and teamwork in addition to physical fitness.

The intellectual side of Resonance Week was emphasized by several talks and presentations. Prominent academics, including Major General A.K. Singh (Retd.), our founder, Mr. Rajendra Prasad, President, Mr. Rajesh Khanna, and Dean of Student Affairs, Major General AK Singh, all imparted their knowledge to the student body. During these discussions, the goal of the university, criteria for evaluating academic excellence, and available courses were all covered in great detail.

Sessions on AI, ML, data science, cybersecurity, and management were part of the induction week, which took place in a world where technology is advancing at a rapid pace. These presentations emphasized the importance of these subjects and offered an insight into the rapidly changing business and technological landscape.

A vibrant campus life was introduced to the new students through club presentations. Coordinators from various clubs shared their goals, activities, and the opportunities each club offered. This introduction allowed students to explore their interests and find like-minded peers.

The talent showcase competition showcased the diverse talents of the students, emphasizing individual creativity and skill. The competition included various rounds, with the final round featuring a question-and-answer segment. This event fostered self-expression, while the Mr. and Miss Fresher titles celebrated personality, confidence, and congeniality. With excellent performances and thoughtful responses to their credit, Indranil Saha, a member of the BTech Batch 2023–27, and Zarah Ahmed, a member of the same batch, respectively, took home the title.

“Resonance “Resonance-2023” served as a vibrant and thorough introduction to the values and culture of the university. The week gave new students an all-encompassing experience by combining talent, academics, sports, adventure, and technology. With a focus on academic exploration, community building, and personal growth, the event left the students eager and equipped to start their academic journey at NIIT University.
