Book Chapter Published by Dr Raju Bhakta and NUton Indraneel Chatterjee

Dr Raju Bhakta, Assistant Professor and NUton Indraneel Chatterjee (BTech Batch 2024) published a co-authored book chapter. Their research, titled “Relative Ageing Comparisons of Two Coherent Systems under Dependent Identically Distributed Components and System Signatures”, has been published as Chapter 6 in Foundations and Emerging Trends in Contemporary Multidisciplinary Science (Cogniverse Press, April 2026).
The research addresses a complex challenge in applied mathematics and reliability engineering: predicting the ageing behaviour of engineering networks under shared operating conditions.
Using cumulative hazard rates and system signatures, the authors developed a rigorous mathematical framework to evaluate which system architectures are most resilient to degradation over time, which is a problem space that sits at the intersection of probability theory, stochastic modelling, and distortion function representations.
