NUtons win First Prize at HackRust 1.0 National Level Hackathon

Students from NIIT University secured first position at HackRust 1.0, a national-level hackathon organized by the Incubation Centre, DCRUST Murthal, in collaboration with Google Developer Groups (GDG). The event saw participation from 971 teams across India, with a multi-stage selection process narrowing down to the final winners.

Team Pipeline Punch, comprising Khushi Kathuria, a B.Tech. Batch 2023 student, and Sashwat Puri Sachdev and Priyanshu Sharma, both B.Tech. Batch 2024 students, successfully progressed through all rounds, including the Top 40 and Top 8 stages, to secure the overall first prize.

The team was awarded a cash prize of ₹31,000, along with a trophy and certificate of appreciation. Their performance in the 24-hour offline hackathon reflected strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective teamwork under pressure.

The team was mentored by Dr. Jetendra Joshi, whose guidance supported their preparation and performance.
