Blood Donation Camp
NIIT University has successfully hosted a blood donation camp on August 28, 2024 in Lab 19 by collaborating with the National Service Scheme (NSS), and the Indian Red Cross Society. The event aimed at raising awareness in the students about social responsibility and humanitarian causes.
Over a 100 students, faculty, and staff members have generously donated their blood, highlighting the compassionate spirit of the university. The Indian Red Cross Society provided expert medical professionals, and equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient blood collection process.
NSS volunteers played a crucial role in the organization of the event – managing registrations, assisting donors, and the medical professionals throughout the day. Their dedication and hard work contributed significantly towards the camp’s success.
A total of 110 units of blood were collected, which will surely be invaluable in saving countless lives. The university administration has expressed its sincere gratitude to the Indian Red Cross Society for their support, and to the NSS volunteers for their tireless efforts for the success of the camp.
